Steven Davidson

With 18 years of experience and a chartered engineer, Steve has led the delivery of numerous diverse and complex projects across the UK, including data centres, commercial spaces, residential developments, and educational buildings.

Steve has a proven track record of driving innovative and sustainable engineering solutions tailored to the evolving needs of each project. His dedication to building strong client relationships and achieving successful outcomes through collaborative thinking with the extended design team ensures the delivery of projects on programme and budget. 

Steve has recently joined the RBG team as Sector Lead for Data Centres and mission critical as well as AECA Regional Sub Sector lead for Data Centres and Advanced Manufacturing within the SJ group. 

Having made significant contributions to industry discourse through published blogs in Datacentre Solutions and Digitalisation World, Steve has also been a panellist at Data Centre World, London’s largest data centre event. Recent projects of for Steve include leading the delivery of KLON-06 in Slough for KAO Data and have refreshing the Data Centre portfolio for Iron Mountain which range from 10-70MW as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team. 

Steve will be responsible that the team’s resources are sufficient in both numbers and skill. He will participate to key design meetings and assist the design team and the client in defining the most appropriate strategy to make sure that the delivery is in line with cost and programme. 

He will be reviewing the structural, geotechnical, and civil design regularly and will review and sign off the design at every stage.  

•    Develops the team’s understanding of the design brief, project objectives, and deliverables.

•    Ensures the team’s resources are sufficient in both numbers and skill.

•    Liaises with the Client in relation to project delivery issues.

•    Prepares project concept design alongside the Design Team Leaders.
